We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves upgraded to a spacious room, which had a small lounge and kitchen area-perfect for a family of four. The electric fireplace definitely added a cozy touch as we unwound after long days. One of our favorite activities was exploring the nearby Glacier Hot Pools. With the kids wanting to splash around, it was an excellent way to relax after our hikes. Plus, the short walk to the Kiwi Wildlife Center kept the little ones entertained. The reception staff were extremely helpful, offering maps and recommendations for local hikes and even discount vouchers for nearby restaurants, including one where we enjoyed a laid-back dinner at Alice May. The location couldn't have been better-just a two-minute walk to shops and dining options. Having free parking outside our apartment was convenient too.
